Dishwasher Tips
- Make sure that the water temperature is at least 130 degrees. This will reduce the amount of soap residue on glasses and dishes.
- Every couple of months, add a quart of white vinegar to the dishwasher and run the machine without any detergent or dishes. This will help remove any hard water deposits off the inside of the dishwasher.
- Using a rinse-aid will add shine to your glasses and dishes. Using a solid rinse-aid is best.
- It is best to use powdered detergent (such as an Electrasol tablet) because gel detergents:
- Contain bleach which can dissolve rubber seals
- Leave a film on glassware
- Are difficult to rinse
- Can clog the detergent dispenser
- Are less effective in hard water.
